Inspired by the Hummingbird, I pledge to join the Hummingbird Effect, and do all I can to protect and restore Mother Earth. By creating my "Hummingbird" Avatar, I understand and agree to the following:

Small Actions for Big Change: I commit to taking small actions in my daily life that contribute to mitigating climate change. I understand that collective efforts can create significant impact, and I will strive to make conscious choices in areas such as energy consumption, waste reduction, sustainable transportation, sustainable fashion, land conservation, rewilding, protection of biodiversity, and supporting food production from regenerative farmers.
Learning and Listening: I recognize that tackling climate change requires ongoing education and learning. I will actively seek out opportunities to listen and learn from science and Mother Earth, and learn from the wisdom of others from different cultures and traditions. I will remain open-minded and receptive to new information and insights that can further inform my actions.
Sharing Ideas: I will actively participate in the Hummingbird community, fostering connections with like-minded individuals who share a passion for addressing climate change. I commit to learn from others, to listen to their ideas and solutions to improve my relationship with Mother Earth. I commit to sharing all I have learned from my own life, my family, my cultural ancestors, and my community to protect and restore our earth. I will engage in discussions, share ideas, and collaborate on initiatives that support our collective goal of creating a sustainable future.
Spreading Awareness: I will proudly share my "Hummingbird" Avatar on social media platforms, using it as a symbol of my commitment to climate action. By sharing my journey and the actions I take, I will strive to inspire others to join the movement, and promote awareness, kindness and compassion for Mother Earth and for each other.
Amplifying Women's Voices: I will strive to amplify the voices and contributions of Daughters in climate change initiatives. I recognize the vital role women play in building a sustainable future–a future anchored on love and kindness, towards ourselves, each other, and Mother Earth.. I will support and uplift their efforts by sharing their stories, celebrating their achievements, ensuring they have proper financial support, and advocating for their inclusion in decision-making processes.

As a Hummingbird, I will gain exclusive access to Daughters for Earth engaging content designed to enrich my knowledge and deepen my understanding of climate change, and the importance of biodiversity and conservation. This includes graphic novels that tell the inspiring stories of women working in climate change, the science behind their actions, why what they are doing is important, and practical tips to help me lead a more sustainable lifestyle.

By accepting this Hummingbird Pledge, I commit myself to the above principles and affirm my dedication to taking meaningful actions to combat climate change and protect biodiversity. I understand that my contributions, no matter how small, are essential to creating a sustainable and thriving planet for future generations.

Terms and Conditions

Welcome to the Hummingbird Effect website ("Website"), a platform provided by Daughters for Earth, which is operated by our partner One Earth, a not-for-profit organization incorporated as One Earth Philanthropy in CA, United States. Before you create a "Hummingbird" avatar on our Website, we kindly request you to carefully read and understand the following User Agreement ("Agreement"). This Agreement outlines the terms and conditions governing your use of the Website and the creation of a "Hummingbird" avatar. By accessing or using the Website and creating a "Hummingbird" avatar, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree with any of the terms and conditions stated herein, please refrain from using the Website.

By accessing this website or submitting any forms on this site, the User (“you”, “your”) agree to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy and consent to the collection and use of any information you provide. If you don’t agree to this Privacy Policy or our Terms of Use, please do not access or use our services.

"Hummingbird" Avatar Creation: The "Hummingbird" avatar creation tool provided on the Website allows you to customize and personalize a virtual representation of a hummingbird. By creating a "Hummingbird" avatar, you agree that any content, including but not limited to text, images, or other materials, associated with the avatar is your responsibility, and you hold all necessary rights and permissions to use and display such content.
Member Accounts: There are sections of the website where you may be able to provide or update personal information, subscribe to email newsletters, donate, and contribute content. To access some of these tools, we may ask you to provide certain registration details or other information including user account name and password to create a member account. It is a condition of your use of the site that all the information you provide is correct, current, and complete, and you keep your password and account access secure.
Donations: Daughters for Earth is funded by charitable organizations and contributions from individual donors and members. The website may offer a method for you to financially contribute to support our work. Donations are processed by software platforms including Donorbox in partnership with Stripe and PayPal Giving, The Giving Block, or Donate Stock, each of which shall be considered a “payment processor.” If you make a donation, you will be agreeing to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy of the payment processor or processors.
